Happy Thanksgiving – better late than never…

My favorite holiday, second only to New Year’s, is Thanksgiving because it is one of the last true holiday’s that hasn’t been swallowed in whole or part by the rampant consumerism like Christmas, or any number of other holidays. Though I do begin to fear that eventually (and much sooner than I’d like) Black Friday will take over Thanksgiving as well and instead of sitting around the table to give thanks for the things that are genuinely important in life, we’ll be knocking each other out of the way for one thing or another that the media tells us will make our lives better.

So, to all those out there who ignored the hawkers and the media and celebrated a truly American Holiday of thanksgiving with your family and friends I say thank you and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
